McDonald's Is Bringing Back Retro Toys To Celebrate 40 Years Of Happy Meals

Even though McDonald's is still well and alive, the fast food giant holds a special place in all of our greasy quarter pounder-laden hearts.

Many of us remember our parents taking us there, and promptly throwing our nuggets and fries aside to check out which toy we were blessed with, only to just toss them aside somewhere in our rooms, never to be seen again.

To celebrate Happy Meal's big 4-0, McDonald's is releasing some classic toys that punch us right in the stomach with the joyful pain of nostalgia.

Can you believe McDonald's Happy Meals are turning 40 this year?

That means people over the age of 40 may have never experienced the joy of collecting McDonald's toys, and that honestly sucks. I'm so sorry to hear.

Anyways, McDonald's is celebrating this milestone in a major way, re-releasing many of their iconic OG Happy Meal toys.

According to USA Today, customers will see the new-old toys from November 7-11 in 90 countries across the globe in a limited edition Surprise Happy Meal.

There will be 15 toys making their global comeback, along with two exclusive Disney toys for US locations.

Grimace is his name, and don't forget it!

McDonald's is about to create some new exciting memories for children to hold onto the same way we have.

And that's exactly what they wanted to achieve.

McDonald’s senior vice president, global marketing, Colin Mitchell said in a statement, "Unboxing the Surprise Happy Meal together creates a real moment of bonding with their children. We hope these toys are something that they will treasure and remember.”

We have absolutely no doubt that they will!
