Friends is an iconic show, and it has had plenty of iconic celebrities that have appeared on it.

Tom Hanks Was Almost On 'Friends' In A Special Role
Do you guys all remember Sandy?
You know, the male nanny that Ross just hated?
He was played by Freddie Prinze Jr, but originally, Tom Hanks was supposed to play the part! That would have been so interesting to see.
Freddie Prinze Jr spoke to Entertainment Weekly, and he was actually the one to reveal that Hanks was meant to play his character.
"I wasn't even supposed to be [Sandy], that was originally offered to Tom Hanks. But he wasn't gonna make it back from his film on time."
So, he took the role immediately.
"So my agent called me and said, 'Do you want to be on Friends?' And I said, 'Yeah, I'll do an episode of Friends. That'll be great.' He said, 'Yeah, it shoots tomorrow.'"
Which, now that we look back on it and think...
There's really no one else for the role besides Freddie Prinze Jr.
Sure, Tom Hanks would have been great at it, as he is in all things, but we love Sandy as we've seen him!
