'Days Of Our Lives' May Be Canceled With Stars Being Released From Their Contracts

After being on TV for so long, it may be hard to imagine a world where Days Of Our Lives doesn't exist. I mean, the show is almost as old as some of our parents!

But unfortunately, the saying is in fact true: all good things must come to an end.

55 years! 55 long years!

NBC

That's how long Days Of Our Lives has been on the air.

Just for context: that means it started in 1965. Lyndon B Johnson was president and "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" by the Rolling Stones had just come out.

Since it started, it's been a whirlwind of a soap opera.

Characters die, they come back, they marry each other and then one of them inevitably dies, and more.

It was just a merry-go-round of betrayal, hatred and, of course, a lot of death.

But it might be coming to an end.

NBC

Sources have reported that the producers of Days Of Our Lives have released the entire cast from their contracts.

This is never a good sign if your show is hoping to be renewed.

But one of the stars tells us not to worry.

Kristian Alfonso, who has played Hope Williams Brady on the show since 1983, had this to say:

“Today is Tuesday, November 12th, and we are still here and we are not going anywhere. You heard it here first, folks."

So keep hoping!
