7 Times Celebs Were Trolled By Google And Had The Best Clapbacks

You know the old saying, "Don't believe everything you hear/read/see?" Well, that piece of advice is especially useful when browsing the internet.

Whether technology fails us or trolls start up rumors, it's always best to fact-check with multiple sources.

After all, not even Google can be trusted at times.

We're all familiar with the hilarious Kristen Bell.

Married to Dax Shepard and star of The Good Place, Kristen is pretty much the type of person we all want as our best friend.

Her face is unmistakable — at least, so we thought.

Because Google seems to be very confused as to what Kristen Bell looks like.

Either that, or the closest person in history to have looked like Kristen Bell is a German-born conductor named August Manns.

"Guys, this app is DEAD ON," wrote Kristen.

Google thinks Kristen looks like an 81-year-old German man. Hil-arious.

Any Slipknot fans in the house?

For those who aren't familiar with the heavy metal band, Corey Taylor is the lead singer and songwriter for the group.

He also led another band called Stone Sour.

In other words, he's huge in the metalhead community.

Recently, Google notified Corey that he had died in 2004.

Twitter | @CoreyTaylorRock

Corey's response? Yep. Definitely dead. Currently tweeting from the grave.

...Oooooooor maybe not? Perhaps Google just made a big mistake?

Well, as it turns out, Google isn't the only one to make life or death errors.

Any true horror movie fan will know American director John Carpenter.

Classic flicks like Halloween, The Thing, They Live, and Christine were all directed by John.

And he's still alive, despite what you may have heard from Rotten Tomatoes.

That's right, Google isn't the only one who's been premature with an obituary.

However, John brushed off the mistake with his great sense of humor.

If you've seen even one Star Wars movie, you should be able to recognize Mark Hamill.

Flickering Myth | Flickering Myth

Mark has been playing the role of Luke Skywalker from the late '70s all the way to today.

Although The Last Jedi may have been Mark's final Star Wars film, he definitely has more days on this earth.

Twitter | @HamillHimself

Again, this mix up wasn't directly Google's fault: A fake news story circulated about Mark's death.

Still, Mark's response was pretty tongue-in-cheek.

Henry Cavill is famous for his role as Superman in Justice League.

He's also famous for his CGI'd mustache and being thirsted after by Demi Lovato, but we digress.

According to Google, Henry passed away in 2018.

Instagram | @henrycavill

"When you learn that you died 2 days ago...." Henry captioned this photo.

How would you react if you had just found out that you were a ghost? Henry's face says it all.

Sylvester Stallone is famous for his career in action movies.

Instagram | @officialslystallone

His most notable role is Rocky Balboa from the boxing movie series Rocky.

Altogether, Sylvester has starred in seven "Rocky" movies.

Which is a lot of dang Rocky movies.

Sylvester was not impressed when rumors spread that he had passed away.

Instagram | @officialslystallone

"Please ignore this stupidity… Alive and well and happy and healthy," he said.

"Still punching!" he then added.

If you're watching Riverdale, you definitely know Cole Sprouse AKA Jughead Jones.

YouTube | Popcorn with Peter Travers

And even if you aren't, you probably remember him as Cody Martin from The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.

He was also in the movie Big Daddy, but Google doesn't seem to remember that.

Twitter | @colesprouse

Cole and his twin brother Dylan played the role of Adam Sandler's son in the film.

However, Google decided to credit Dylan Sprouse *and* Cody Martin with the role.

That's....???? RUDE!

Oh, and Google refuses to even acknowledge the fact that Cole plays a character on Riverdale.

Twitter | @colesprouse

"When someone at Google hates just you specifically," wrote Cole on Twitter after sharing these screenshots.

Wayne Knight, the actor who played Newman on 'Seinfeld', had to take to Twitter when rumors of his death hit the web.

Obviously, being a comedic actor, he had a pretty funny response. Hopefully, nobody was actually disappointed to hear that he was alive!

His response actually made his name start trending!

I'm sure a lot of Seinfeld fans out there were pretty glad to see that the Internet had been wrong about his passing!

Zach Braff also dealt with a death hoax that spread about him online in the funniest way.

He posted a hilarious video titled "Zach Braff (SCRUBS) is NOT DEAD! Evidence here!" in which he proved he was alive and chided whoever started the rumor about him for worrying his mother.

Dog The Bounty Hunter had to get pretty creative to respond to his own death rumors.

Duane 'Dog' Chapman ended up sending TMZ a photograph of himself (looking... enthused) holding a dated newspaper and a handwritten sign proclaiming "I'M ALIVE!"

Well, that's all the trolling and clapbacks for today.

Although as long as the internet exists, we're certain there will be more to come.
