Ashley Graham Posted A Pic Of Herself Giving Birth For International Women's Day

On International Women's Day, and to celebrate herself as well as her fellow women, Ashley Graham took to Instagram to share a powerful photo of herself giving birth, and it was the ultimate IWD mic-drop!

Ashley Graham is a star of a woman.

Since the moment she appeared on the scene, people have fallen in love with her for a ton of reasons.

And no, it's not just because she's stunning.

One thing she is very good at doing is making people feel good about themselves because of her body positivity.

She is always encouraging self-love!

"I look at myself naked in the mirror and say, 'You know what, awkward butt shape? You’re not gonna get higher or rounder but it’s OK, because I’ve got Spanx for you.' Your words have so much power."

"Every day, if you tell yourself 'I love you,' if you give yourself one word of validation, it will change your mind."

"The thing that I really want to promote and that I want women to understand is that it’s not about wanting something else".

"It’s about being self-assured about your size and also just loving your body."

And now, she's getting super real about motherhood.

To start off 2020, Ashley Graham stepped into motherhood, welcoming her son, Issac.

And since then she has kept it real with her fans — the same way she always has.

Throughout her pregnancy and after, she has been refreshingly candid about the struggles of motherhood, including breastfeeding and the changes her body has gone through.

"Throughout my pregnancy so far I’ve gained 50lbs," she wrote on Instagram a month before her son was born. "And the best part is, I don’t care!"

"I have never felt better, and I am so thankful that my body and son have allowed me to be as mobile and flexible as I have been."

"Between working out, yoga, acupuncture and lymphatic massages - I finally feel like I figured out this whole pregnancy thing and how to feel my best," she concluded.

She announced the birth of her son with this Instagram post in early February:

"At 6:00PM on 01/18/2020, we welcomed 7lbs 5oz of love into our world," she wrote.

"Meeting our son has made our hearts incredibly full and we can’t wait to introduce him to you," she added.

After the birth of her son, she even opened up about having to wear diapers.

You'd think that as a new mom, the only diapers she'd be changing are her son's. But on the contrary...

"Raise your hand if you didn’t know you’d be changing your own diapers too🙋🏻‍♀️," she wrote on Instagram.

"After all these years in fashion, I never could’ve guessed that disposable underwear would be my favorite piece of clothing, but here we are!"

"No one talks about the recovery and healing (yes even the messy parts) new moms go through. I wanted to show you guys that it’s not all rainbows and butterflies!"

"It’s unbelievable the obstacles we still face, talking about what women really go through," she concluded.

Speaking of diaper changes, just a couple of weeks ago, Ashley shared a photo of herself changing her son's diaper in the middle of a shopping aisle.

"[Expletive] just got real!," she wrote.

"First diaper blow up while running errands with no restroom in sight! Thank God I remembered to put the changing mat in the diaper bag!!!"

In keeping with her transparent tone, Ashley celebrated International Women's Day by posting a photo of herself giving birth, alongside an uplifting caption.

Something that I'm sure anyone who has ever given birth could appreciate!

"This is the face of my greatest strength," she wrote.

"The greatest pain I’ve ever known and the greatest accomplishment that I’ve ever achieved," she continued.

She went on, explaining just how physically and emotionally strong women are capable of being.

"On this International Women’s Day understand that despite whatever pain or trial we have all experienced as women," she said.

"... we are also strong, powerful and capable of accomplishing greatness."

She wrapped things up by wishing all the ladies out there a happy International Women's Day — encouraging women to support each other.

"Happy International Women’s Day! Let’s all celebrate our, and each other’s strengths today," she concluded.
