Man Posts Adorable Saga With 'Quarantine Cutie' After Spotting Her Dancing On Roof

It almost goes without saying that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought us no end of tragedies and anxieties this month. And even for those who are fortunate enough to comfortably stay home and work from there, our new way of living has already proved to be a difficult adjustment.

And while it's easy to forget this in the face of more immediate concerns, it's also true that those who find themselves single right now don't exactly have the odds of finding somebody in their favor right now.

However, some plucky young lovers are apparently making it work and as the full video shows, that's especially true for two New Yorkers who discovered how close they were to each other all along.

One day, Jeremy Cohen of Brooklyn looked out the window to an unusual sight.

A girl was dancing on the roof of the building across the street. He didn't recognize the dance, but this made him very curious to talk to her.

So he waved to her and he was happy to see that she had waved back.

Although that would normally be as far as their communication could realistically go under these circumstances, Cohen had a plan in mind.

He said that flirting is normally a daunting prospect for him, but quarantining has left him craving social interaction.

So he broke out his drone and taped his number to it in the hopes that she was feeling just as friendly.

As we can see, she was pretty excited and amused to see the drone approach her.

As Cohen said, he received a text from her about an hour later and took that opportunity to ask her out to dinner.

He also learned that her name is Tori.

Although she was interested, she naturally wondered how they were going to pull that off while in quarantine.

And Cohen had a plan for that, but first, he trimmed his beard, chose an outfit, and actually did a pretty decent job cutting his own hair.

As for the actual date, he set up a little table on his balcony and arranged for Tori's roommate to put a similar one on the roof.

From the sounds of things, this worked pretty well and surprised Tori about as much as the drone had.

After she sat down, Cohen romantically screamed "you look beautiful" across at the roof to her.

Fortunately for their neighbors, the rest of their date happened over FaceTime and the two seemed to hit it off very well.

Cohen wanted to meet the "Quarantine Cutie" up close but that there's no way that could possibly happen, right?

Well, it seemed that Cohen wasn't completely out of surprises yet.

In what he described as his boldest move yet, Cohen filled a large plastic bubble with air and walked to her place in it.

He also brought a bouquet of flowers and hand sanitizer, but he realized upon meeting up with her that there was no way to actually give her either of them.

Although the increasingly clever and adorable "Quarantine Cutie" saga was originally posted in parts on TikTok, Cohen compiled it all on Twitter.

So you can see it all in one go, including the couple's encounter with the police when they actually stepped out together.

Don't worry, it ended fine.
