Adorable Kittens Visiting Closed Aquarium Is Our Moment Of Zen For Today

I love aquariums. If there was one closer to my home, I'd be one of those people paying for a long-term pass and visiting all the time. There's something just really beautiful and soothing about watching marine life.

I have a small tank in my art studio to provide a bit of zen to the space, but it't not really the same.

And I don't know about you, but I could really use some zen right about now.

The pandemic curve might be flattening, but my anxiety levels are bouncing on a damn trampoline. I'm either too twitchy to sit still and work or too depressed and lethargic to think straight.

Alas, like all good non-essential businesses, aquariums are closed to the public for now.

But not, thankfully, to cute animals.

In fact, the Atlanta Humane Society teamed up with the Georgia Aquarium recently to let a few of their cutest animals roam the empty attraction.

This project had two main goals.

First, the field trips provide the puppies and kittens a chance to explore an unfamiliar environment, which is good for enrichment and keeps them stimulated while adoptions are temporarily on hold.

Second, it provides a bit of cute fun to share online with the rest of us who are in dire need of mental enrichment right now.

So be sure to watch it and get that moment of zen you've been craving.

Oh, and the kittens in the video are named Nemo, Dory, Guppy, Marlin, and Bubbles, which is one thousand percent perfect.

And don't forget to check out their earlier video where puppies Odie and Carmel had their own visit to the aquarium.
