A 'Reba' Reunion Special May Be In The Works, According To Reba McEntire: 'We've Been Texting'

We've never been in more desperate need of good news than we are right now, in my humble opinion. Also in my humble opinion, Reba is one of the best sitcoms of all time, and even though it ran for six seasons from 2001-2007, I personally think it should've lasted even longer.

As usual, it looks like I might be right!

For the uninitiated, *Reba* was a sitcom starring country music legend Reba McEntire.

The series followed Reba as a single mother who grapples with being involved in the life of her ex-husband and his pregnant new wife while her teenage daughter is currently pregnant.

It might sound like a lot, but it really worked!

On a recent appearance on *The Today Show*, Reba was asked about the possibility of a reunion.

"We'd love to, as a matter of fact, we've been texting each other," Reba answered. "Melissa Peterman started it out and we're all talking, hoping to get back together. We miss each other. "

"It was a fun group to get to play with, work with, so we'd love to do it."

"Even if it’s a two-hour movie or a..." Reba trailed off, both dashing my hopes and giving me new ones. "I don't know, whatever. We'd love to get back together. They're wonderful people."

While we're waiting for more news on this amazing idea, there is something to tide us over.

Melissa Peterman (who played Barbra Jean) and Reba recently had a mini-reunion on Facebook, imagining how each other's characters would be holding up in quarantine.
