Once upon a time, Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow were one of the hottest couples of the '90s.
They were even engaged! But, alas, as most Hollywood relationships do, things soon fizzled out.

You know all about Jen and Angelina, but one relationship you might have forgotten about was his one with fellow A-lister, Gwyneth Paltrow.
The former pair first connected when they played husband and wife on the 1995 thriller, Seven.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the Once a Time in Hollywood actor called the 1996 proposal “one the greatest moments" in his life.
I would love to have Pitt propose to me.
“We’re just not doing movies at the same time,” Paltrow revealed back then.
“He’s gonna have a break while I do my next one and I’m gonna take a break when he does his."
Despite this, the pair ended up splitting up in 1997.
"When two people aren't supposed to be together, they're not supposed to be together," Paltrow said in 1998.
This, of course, was Shakespeare In Love.
“I was in the middle of a terrible breakup [with Pitt], and the idea of going to England and being far from home just seemed … I didn’t even read it,” the actress shared to Us Weekly.
She even admitted to having trouble eating, saying that she was "really skinny" after the breakup.
Many years have passed since then, giving the The Goop Lab star plenty of time to reflect on what went wrong in their relationship.
"I remember when Brad Pitt and I broke up, it was on the cover of the New York Post and there was no one outside my house. That would never happen today," she said.
"I’m actually a pretty good friend, and a good sister and daughter and mother, but I’m at my potentially most vulnerable and [expletive] up in the romantic slice of the pie."
"It’s taken me a lot of work to get to the place where I have a good romantic relationship. So Brad Pitt, if you’re listening. I [expletive] that up, Brad."
In 2015, she discussed their former relationship why on The Howard Stern Show.
During their conversation, she had nothing but good things to say about her former love.
“He was so gorgeous and sweet. I mean, he was Brad Pitt!”
She then went on to blame herself for their engagement ending, revealing that she wasn't quite mature enough at that time.
"It’s taken me until 40 to get my head out of my expletive. You can’t make that decision when you’re 22 years old… I wasn’t ready, and he was too good for me. … I didn’t know what I was doing.”
For Gwyneth, this was Coldplay's Chris Martin, who she eventually divorced.
And for Brad, this was Jennifer Aniston and famously, Angelina Jolie, both of whom he also eventually divorced.

She's even still close friends with her ex, Chris!
