'Powerpuff Girls' Live-Action Remake Is In The Works

GUYS! GUUYSS! GUUUYYYSSS!!!!

I have some very exciting news for everyone who watched Powerpuff Girls growing up and dreamed of being a super cute, super coordinated superhero.

Now, this iconic animated TV series is getting a live-action remake for the CW network and I cannot wait to see how this turns out!!!

Let's take a closer look, shall we?! AHHHH!

Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup are not just adorably color coordinated superheroes, they are feminist icons!

The original animated TV show aired on the Cartoon Network from 1998 to 2005 and was an influential part of so many childhoods!

According to CNET, the new series will follow our girls Bubbles, Blossom and Buttercup as twenty-somethings who are a bit resentful that they spent their childhood fighting crime instead of having fun.

Heather Regnier and Diablo Cody are on board to write and produce the new series. Greg Berlanti ("Chilling Adventures of Sabrina"), Sarah Schechter ("Stargirl"), and David Madden will executive produce!

CNET also confirms that Warner Bros. Television will produce the new series.
