Skai Jackson Honors Cameron Boyce With Tearful 'Dancing With The Stars' Performance

Dancing with the Stars gave fans an emotional performance Monday night as 18-year-old Skai Jackson took the stage to honor her friend, the late Cameron Boyce.

Disney channel fans will remember the special bond Skai and Cameron shared while starring on the hit TV show Jessie. Their on-screen friendship blossomed into a real life connection that lasted until Cameron's passing.

As you may remember, 20-year-old actor Cameron Boyce tragically passed away in July 2019.

Cameron, who had epilepsy, suffered from a fatal seizure in his sleep.

Friends, family and fans around the world are still mourning the loss of the beloved TV star.

Cameron's close friend, 18-year-old Skai Jackson, explained this week on *Dancing with the Stars* that her foxtrot performance to John Legend's "Ordinary People" would be dedicated to Cameron.

In the clip package aired before the performance, Skai explained that Cameron was like a big bother to her.

"He really molded me into the person I am now, " she explained to her dance partner Alan Bersten.

Skai went on to show that Cameron was on her phone case, and tearfully admitted that she misses him everyday.

"It makes me a little bit sad, of course, that he's not here," the 18-year-old explained, as per People.

"But I know that he'd be really proud of me. I know that he loved Dancing with the Stars and he loved dancing. That's why I'm really excited to do this dance, because it is for him."

Skai went on to receive the first 10 of the season from notoriously harsh judge Carrie Ann Inaba.

What a beautiful tribute to honor a beautiful friendship.
