Quotes For When You Regret Your Choices, But Would Totally Make Them Again

So last weekend I was feeling stuck in a bit of a funk and a friend posted a photo of the most delicious-looking donuts I'd ever seen. In under 20 minutes, I too had my hands on some delicious gourmet donuts, and it only cost $30 after delivery and tip.

I've made better financial choices, but that's not the point of this particular story.

No, the *point* is that I bought three very decadent donuts and a latte made with whole milk, and then proceeded to eat nothing else for breakfast or lunch.

To say that I was feeling...wonky by mid-afternoon would be putting it mildly.

The human body isn't meant to be fueled only by caffeine and carbs, as much as I may wish it could be.

However, occasionally, I'm perfectly okay with making poor choices for the sake of self-care.

My go-to response to people questioning whether something is "health food" is to inform them that it is sometimes, in fact, "mental health food."

In moderation, of course.

So how did I deal with the slightly woozy coffee/sugar headache I got from the donuts?

I had a healthy dinner, followed by the last and most decadent donut of the bunch for dessert. Duh.
