People Are Getting Succulent Tattoos To Show Off Their Love Of Plants

Get ready to feel that inescapable compulsion to book yourself a tattoo appointment, everyone.

Succulent lovers everywhere have decided to immortalize their favorite plants in tattoo form. I cannot begin to tell you how cute these tattoos are, so let's just go ahead and show you, shall we?

Add some crystals for good measure.

Sometimes, your succulents need a little somethin' somethin'. This celestial fantasy has some crystals and a moon! I love the way the artist integrated the yellow of the moon into the rest of the tattoo.

This tattoo is the epitome of crisp.

Like, look at all those clean, gorgeous lines. It's just so crisp, you know? I like that they went for minimal color and really let the line work shine.

This tattoo is simply stunning.

I truly don't know what to say about it. They're both so gorgeous that it almost defies words. The line work, the shading, the composition of the photo...it's pure artistry.

This has some peek-a-boo color.

How neat is this idea? Only the inside of the triangle has color in it. There's just something about geometric-inspired tattoos that look so modern and chic.

Watercolor style + succulent tattoo = art.

Come through, colors! The way that those colors all blend together is absolutely stunning. The greens are so vibrant, and the reds so rich. I love the little lines around it, too. It adds a little something to it.

Of course, some people incorporate them in a classic way.

Skulls and bones are a staple of tattoo art, so naturally someone combined them with succulents. This dinosaur skull is surrounded by desert flowers and succulents!

For any dino nerds out there, this is a Styrcosaurus skull.

This one pays homage to the best Halloween movie ever made.

And by that, I am obviously referring to Hocus Pocus. You take your Nightmare Before Christmas and get outta here. This tattoo of Winifred's precious spell book surrounded by succulents is seriously one I bet the witch herself would get.

This is a lovely bunch of succulents.

Sometimes, one succulent isn't enough. Sometimes, you need a whole bunch of them to truly show off how dedicated you are to that succulent life. I get it.

This succulent has a little friend.

I have no idea why you'd get a slug tattoo, but I do know that this slug is the cutest effing slug I've ever seen. Look at his little face!

This one perfectly frames a knee.

Or the back of one, anyway. I love that it looks like the leg has a gorgeous succulent necklace on! Those hanging pearls really complete the tattoo. Stunning work.

This one has some fun, non-traditional elements to it.

"[...]a watery, soft-focus pair of cacti. While I generally prefer the sharper appearance of a traditionally-lined tattoo, it is fun and challenging to take on the occasional untraditional piece," artist @raven_del_rio wrote on Instagram.

This one has some of the most vibrant colors I've ever seen.

I'm speechless at how bright and complex those colors are. There's so many tons to the blues, pinks, and purples, and the shadows look incredible. This is one of the most beautiful tattoos I've ever seen.

This succulent is made of jewels!

How cool is this? It's like a crystal and a succulent had a baby. The white ink really helps show off the facets of the jewels. I would get this one, tbh.

I think we all saw this mashup coming.

I mean, it's Star Wars, it's something adorable and green...this kind of had to happen, you know? It's a no-brainer. I love pop culture tattoos like this. Nerd art is the best art.
