Look. there's no denying we've all had to endure one of the WORST years ever...of all time.

Between a pandemic, a very stressful election, and world events getting worse and worse, it was hard to feel hopeful.

And with 2021 on the horizon, it's easy to see why we're eager to forget this year and hope the next one is better.

Even celebrities are eager to ditch 2020, including Jennifer Aniston!

And can you blame her?

The pandemic has caused a lot of people a lot of heartache. Between loss of jobs, and loss of friends and family members, people are doing whatever they can to make themselves smile during these dark times.

Including Jen.

But it didn't work in her favor.

NOW before we go any further, I want to clarify that Jennifer has been one of the most vocal celebs about proper COVID-19 protocols.

She has been endorsing mask wearing since the beginning of the pandemic and has spoken publicly about the dangers of COVID-19 since the spring.

So when Jennifer debuted an "Our First Pandemic" Christmas bauble on Instagram, the reactions on social media were mixed.

A lot of people felt the actress was making light of the deadly disease, which has claimed over 300.000 lives in the U.S. alone.

People were not afraid to show their anger on social media.

"Sarcastic or not, this pandemic has directly attributed to the LOSS OF JOBS, HOUSING, AND ENTIRE [expletive] FAMILIES. making the best of a rough situation is absolutely fine, but downplaying the severity of a [expletive] PANDEMIC is unacceptable. [Expletive] U #JenniferAniston ignorant [expletive]," tweeted one angry user.

And more people were really upset about this ornament than you might think. Another user added:

"Jennifer Aniston is a damn fool for posting that ornament on her story... celebrities are ditzy af."

However, not everyone was so upset about it and took to social media to defend the 51-year-old.

Many people were pointing out that it seemed a little ridiculous to cancel Aniston for something on her Christmas tree.

People also pointed out that many celebrities were still traveling and going to parties, so what Aniston did in comparison is really not as bad.

But I suppose that would all be in the eye of the beholder.

Other fans also made sure to point out the fact that no matter how people feel about the ornament, it's very clear that Aniston is taking the pandemic very seriously.

She has been wearing a mask and social distancing since day one!

So obviously, as you can see, the reactions are VERY mixed.
