Nestlé Toll House Is Answering Our Prayers With Edible Cookie Dough

There's nothing like the warm embrace of comfort food. Some folks just can't resist getting wrapped up in a piping hot bowl of mac and cheese, or diving into a creamy pile of mashed potatoes.

For me, it's chocolate chip cookies. They're a time machine, taking me back to the simpler days when a mere cookie could solve any gloomy mood.

And of course the reigning king of chocolate chip cookies is the classic Nestlé Toll House.

I know I'm not the only one out there who gets a powerful nostalgia kick just from the smell of them in the oven, let alone the taste of a perfect, crispy, gooey, chocolatey cookie.

Now, we've all been guilty of sneaking a few spoonfuls of cookie dough before it bakes up, right?

Or, okay, diving right in like it's the main course. But we shouldn't. There are raw eggs and flour in there, which can pass along salmonella and really ruin your night.

So, good news folks, Nestlé has our backs.

There is such a thing now as Nestlé Toll House edible cookie dough, delivering sweet doughy goodness by the pint in two flavors: Chocolate Chip (naturally) and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Monster.

Those pints were spotted at a Publix in Florida.

But there's no word on whether Nestlé has taken them nationwide just yet, so keep your eyes peeled at your local supermarket's refrigerated section.
