Dog The Bounty Hunter Will Not Remarry After Beth Chapman's Death, According To His Daughter

Duane 'Dog' Chapman, star of Dog The Bounty Hunter and the upcoming Dog's Most Wanted, lost his wife to cancer on June 26th. Their daughter, Bonnie Jo Chapman, recently took to Instagram to do a Q&A regarding how the family is dealing with the loss.

Dog & Beth Chapman had been married since 2006, but had been together 15 years before that.

In 2017, Beth was diagnosed with throat cancer. Earlier this year, after being rushed to the hospital, Beth was re-diagnosed and informed that her cancer had spread.

After being placed in a medically-induced coma on June 22nd, Beth passed away on June 26th.

The funeral was held and live-streamed on July 13th from Aurora, Colorado. The funeral included speeches from various friends and family members, including Dog himself.

Dog told the story about how they had met.

"I met Beth, I posted her bond for stealing a lemon," Dog recounted, to amusement from the gathered crowd. "She walked into the office and I thought, oh, yes, she will be mine."

He recalled how he rushed to get her case finished, as his manager didn't allow him to date clients.

Dog continued on, saying, "I cannot believe she's gone. This is not possible," and adding that he'd do "five years, ten years [in prison] just to kiss her again."

Towards the end of his speech, Dog brought out his pastor, who had officiated their wedding in 2006.

Dog explained that when the pastor was settling on the vows, Beth had made them take out the line "til death do us part" because, in her words, "you're not off the hook!"

Their daughter, Bonnie Jo Chapman, has confirmed this sentiment on her Instagram.

While doing a Q&A session on her Instagram, Bonnie Jo was asked if she thought her father would ever remarry, and Bonnie Jo's answer was simple.

"Nope, he found his soulmate."

"No one can ever replace her in his heart," she wrote candidly, "Their love was one of a kind, it made me believe love truly exists."

"I still haven’t let her go," Dog said at the funeral.

"She will never be dead to me … she is in another place. If there’s a God, he won’t let me live that long without her."
