Jeff Foxworthy Announces He's A Grandfather For The First Time

There's nothing like news of a family growing to put a good spin on your day, especially if that family includes one of the most famous comedians of pretty much all time.

You thought your grandpa's jokes were cheesy? You should count yourself lucky — one baby out there just lucked into having Jeff Foxworthy as their grandfather, news of which the comedian just shared on Instagram.

Jeff Foxworthy is one of the best comedians ever.

There's probably not a comedy lover out there who couldn't finish one of his "You might be a redneck if..." jokes, and his work with the Blue Collar Comedy group kickstarted the careers of some of the best comedians out there, including himself!

He's more than just a comedian though.

Jeff is many things, like a talented television host (His work on Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader is both hilarious and charming!) and author, but maybe most importantly on that list, he's also a loving father.

Jeff has two daughters, Jordan and Julianne, but his family just got a little bit bigger!

Jeff was excited to share back in August that he was about to be a grandfather for the first time.

"After a lifetime of raising girls, just found out I am going to have a grandson. Stoked beyond belief!" he wrote on Instagram at the time.

I can't say I blame him for being excited about a baby boy for the first time, even (maybe especially) if its not his!

Jeff just announced that his grandson was born healthy and happy!

"With the birth of my first grandchild, everybody else on the planet dropped one spot in my rankings this week," Jeff shared on Instagram, already proving that trading dad jokes in for grand-dad jokes is going to be an easy transition to make.

Congratulations, Jeff!

Being a grandparent is one of the greatest pleasures life can give you, if you're lucky enough to get it! All the fun, adorableness, and love of having a baby, but with the ability to give the baby back when it starts crying? Count me in!
