Paramount+ Reveals The First Look At New 'Rugrats' Reboot

I don't know about you, but I grew up on a steady diet of Rugrats on television and Rugrats on VHS. I still remember all the words to 'Vacation' by the Go-Go's, and that's solely because of the time the Pickles family and friends went to Las Vegas. I still pronounce responsibilities as "responserbilleries" sometimes too.

It's safe to say Rugrats had a huge impact on my childhood.

Paramount+ recently announced they would be rebooting the iconic series.

The original show ran for 9 seasons from 1991 to 2004, and also included a few movies to boot. Tommy, Chuckie, Angelica and the gang are iconic components of the '90s cartoon world, so any reboot has got big shoes to fill!

The Paramount+ Twitter account recently shared a new look at the CGI style of the reboot!

The new style has earned mixed reviews!

"I like how the upcoming Rugrats reboot looks very stylized in CGI," said one fan.

"I'm about 50/50 about the CGI animation but I'm still gonna give it a chance," tweeted another.

Paramount also revealed that all the original voice cast for the babies would be returning!

That is definitely good news — while the Rugrats are all visually iconic, their voices are almost more familiar to us than their faces, especially with the new CGI style!

I have to admit, I'm getting pretty excited for this!

What do you think?
