Jason Momoa Shuts Down 'Icky' Question In Regards To His Role On 'Game Of Thrones'

Over the past decade, Jason Momoa has transformed into one of the most recognizable and sought-after actors on the planet. And while these days he's best known for playing Aquaman β€” his journey began on Game of Thrones.

Recently, Jason sat down with The New York Times and was asked to give his opinion on the character of Khal Drogo. The celebrated actor didn't take kindly to the line of questioning and accused the reporter of trying to gaslight him.

The interview took a hard left turn when the reporter asked Jason about the treatment of women on *Game Of Thrones*.

"Do you think differently today about those scenes," the reporter asked. "Would you do one now? Do you have any regrets? Those types of scenes can seem as if they belong to an older cultural moment," they said.

Jason stressed how difficult those scenes were to film, but maintained they were integral for Khal Drogo.

"It’s not my job to go, 'Would I not do it?'" Momoa tried to explain. "I've never really been questioned about, 'Do you regret playing a role?' We'll put it this way: I already did it. Not doing it again," Jason said flatly.

Toward the end of the interview, Jason reiterated how uncomfortable the reporter's question had made him.

The job of the actor isn't to question β€” it's to act. "It just feels icky β€” putting it upon me to remove something," Jason said. "As if an actor even had the choice to do that."

Jason made a point of once again expressing how it's the job of the producers, writers, and directors to dictate the course of the show.

No actor, regardless of their acclaim or stature, has the power to come in and dictate what they will/won't do in conjuncture with the current political climate. "It's a question that feels icky. I just wanted you to know that," Momoa concluded.
