I can't imagine anything more stressful than being a mom on a reality tv show. It's hard enough being a mom in just normal reality let alone when you've got people watching and judging your every move from the comfort of their own homes.
Now, one mom is getting candid about her experience on Wife Swap and why she considers it one of the worst experiences she's ever had.
Everyone and their mother loves this classic reality TV show. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've enjoyed the reruns of this show and relished in all the wild hijinks — I'm ony human!
Heidi Mae appeared on the sixth season of the show. She was 20 at the time and grew up performing in her family’s traveling theatre show, The Caboodlestoppers.
"It was the worst mistake of our lives," Heidi tells viewers on her TikTok.
Heidi alleges the fears and trauma she revealed in her psychological interview were fed to the "other mother" who came to live with her family.
"Growing up traveling full-time, I get really lonely sometimes, so when I feel alone, it makes me cry, it makes me really sad," the mom recalls telling the psychologist.
"And I just [explective] broke down."
"I regret ever having done it. To this day I still deal with the after-effects of it," she claims.
That sounds so traumatizing. I can't imagine dealing with such a toxic environment in your own home.
