Two-Year-Old Best Friends Melt Everyone's Heart As They Race to Hug Each Other

For parents, one of the most reassuring things to hear is that their child is making friends. It's not that popularity is everything, but rather that it's comforting to know that they won't be lonely as they discover the parts of life that parents can't be around for.

As parents start to see their closest friends come around more often, they start to become familiar with the kids themselves.

Of course, they often already known a lot before they first meet this friend thanks to their kid's excited chatter about them.

On Sunday, Michael Cisneros of New York City posted a video on Facebook that featured his son, Maxwell.

Maxwell is only two, but he's already had a best friend for about half his life in a fellow toddler named Finnegan.

It's unclear how the two boys met, but they seem to share similar interests.

As Cisneros told ABC News, "They go to music class together, Dana Banana (a weekly music event) and they love to dance -- both are excellent dancers."

And one short clip Cisneros posted to Facebook shows just how inseparable they are.

After what was apparently only two days apart, the boys ran excitedly to each other with adorable little cheers.

And when they meet, they hug each other tightly.

As Cisneros said, "When they are away from each other, they are always asking about one another."
