The Blacklist is doing what other shows can't always do: returning for the seventh season.

'The Blacklist' Season 7 Returns October 4th On NBC
The first five seasons followed the same kind of schedule.

They were released either at the end of September or the beginning of October.
However, season six only came about in January.
But we are back on schedule with season 7.

And the episode count will also likely stay the same with about 22 episodes.
So that's a lot of drama.
Creator and showrunner Jon Bokenkamp and John Eisendrath weighed in on what to expect:

"The fun of the guessing game that the audience has is hopefully made more fun if we just tell the story the best possible way that we can. We don't try to alter it and throw them off or to try and lead them on."
