New Sexual Assault Allegations Have Surfaced Against Brett Kavanaugh

A new sexual assault allegation has recently surfaced against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, as revealed through an exposé and analysis piece from the New York Times.

In the opinion section article, a former Yale classmate of Kavanaugh's describes another incident in which the judge made unwanted sexual contact with a female student while they were all freshmen in university.

In 2018, two women came forward to accuse Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.

Palo Alto University professor Christine Blasey Ford accused him of sexually assaulting her in high school, and Deborah Ramirez, a former Yale classmate of Kavanaugh's, accused him of assaulting her while they were in University together.

Kavanaugh has strongly denied both allegations against him, and despite the controversy of these women's claims, his tenure has been largely unaffected.

Now, a new allegation of sexual misconduct has been levied against Kavanaugh by two NYT journalists investigating the previous allegations.

Reporters Robin Pogrebin and Kate Kelly published an opinion article late Saturday evening which acts as a summary of what their book, "The Education of Brett Kavanaugh: An Investigation", due for release this week, discusses in greater detail.

As part of the piece, the journalists interviewed a former male classmate of Kavanaugh's who made the shocking revelation that a third unnamed woman was sexually assaulted by the Supreme Court Justice.

During their freshman year at Yale, classmate Max Stier witnessed Kavanaugh pull his pants down at a dorm party.

His friend then proceeded to shove his genitals into the hands of a female classmate.

Stier said he has since notified the FBI and various senators about the drunken incident, but no formal investigation has ever opened.

Once the story was published, many were quick to point out the similarities between these new allegations and that of fellow Yale classmate Ramirez.

Ramirez has previously accused Kavanaugh of pulling his pants down at a party and attempting to thrust his genitalia in her face while she was inebriated and playing a drinking game during her and Kavanaugh's freshman year at Yale.

Shocked, Ramirez said she pushed Kavanaugh away, at which point he forced her to touch his genitals without her consent.

During Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings, he made the claim that if such an incident had really occurred, it would have been “the talk of campus.”

Ramirez later published a letter through her attorneys which expressed her disappointment at the FBI's treatment of the investigation:

“Fewer than four days [after speaking with FBI agents], however, the FBI apparently has concluded its investigation–without permitting its agents to investigate. We are deeply disappointed by this failure. We can only conclude that the FBI–or those controlling its investigation–did not want to learn the truth behind Ms. Ramirez’s allegations."

President Trump has jumped to Kavanaugh's defence since these latest allegations have emerged.

Appearing to be reaction to the NYT article, Trump shared a tweet in which he suggested Kavanaugh pursue legal action and "should start suing people for libel".

"When does it stop?" the POTUS implored. "They are trying to influence his opinions. Can't let that happen!"
