The Guardian has confirmed that Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will join Bernie Sanders at a New York campaign rally this Saturday and officially endorse him as the Democratic Nominee for the 2020 Presidential election.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez To Officially Endorse Bernie Sanders For President
During Tuesday night's Democratic debate, Sanders teased the appearance of a "special guest" at his next rally.

The Washington Post later confirmed that the guest would be none other than Ocasio-Cortez herself and that she would be giving Sanders her official endorsement at the event.
AOC's endorsement will follow Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's recent endorsement of Sanders.

"[Bernie Sanders] isn’t fighting to win just one presidential election," Omar Tweeted out, " He’s fighting for the soul of our democracy...I’m so proud to give Bernie my endorsement for president of the United States."
Ocasio-Cortez will give Sanders' campaign a surge of young liberal support.

As a publicly favored progressive member of Congress, Ocasio-Cortez's endorsement is expected to bring in a significant number of younger voters.
This could potentially be quite the blow to Elizabeth Warren's campaign, who has just recently become a frontrunner for the Democratic nomination.
