20 Pics That Are Playing Games With Our Brains

Every day we're bombarded with endless streams of information and content. We like to believe we can trust it all, but it's just a fact that some of this content is fake, designed to make us believe something that isn't true.

The images on this list aren't quite that. Though they're mind-bending and confusing, they are all real, they just might trick you into thinking they aren't.

"How this pine tree grew around the palm tree."

I've never seen such a tight, desperate grip on anything before. This pine tree is hanging on for dear life, and the palm is being very casual about it.

"Stealth water cooler."

What purpose is there to this besides increasing the amount of times you get to watch your coworkers run into the water cooler?

"The tailgate of this truck is painted to look like there’s a bulldog in the bed of the truck."

That's one sturdy bulldog. I know they have a low center of gravity, but sheesh!

"Couldn’t find my shirt in the hotel room."

Were it not your shirt, that would have been an interesting cushion choice. A surefire way to make sure your seat never looks orderly.

"Big woman on a bike."

Look at how proud she is! Trying to balance on a bike at that size is hard, and she's mastered it, good for her!

"This Cell tower in the woods."

Looks fine from down here, but if you pan up and out you'll immediately notice that it sticks out like a sore thumb. Points for trying, I guess.

"[...] this trail in Denmark."

Did anyone else immediately get a little motion sick when looking at this pic? Just me?

"2 for 1 special on ducks today."

This is hardly two for one, that's more like one and a quarter! What a ripoff!

"I made a tissue box holder that looks like a crate of records."

This is cute but I wouldn't be able to have a record I actually enjoy on the front. Blowing my nose with it would feel disrespectful.

"Baby got legs."

Yeah, what's that baby need a stroller for? Clearly they can walk on their own!

"The reflection of a sunset created by this puddle."

This looks like someone pulled the image up in Photoshop and made liberal use of the smudge tool.

"The way the umbrellas reflect in the windshields."

The reflection looks like a stock image. You could blast the word 'SALE' on it and I'd look for the arrow telling me where it is.

"Another obelisk found this morning in Detroit Lakes, MN."

Is someone profiting off of these? Or do they just think it's fun to stick mirrors in places mirrors shouldn't be?

"[...] four apartment buildings."

Sure, four apartment buildings in Inception, or Doctor Strange, or any other reality-bending movie.

"Tomato City."

Having such an overflow of giant tomatoes that you need to start storing them on top of buildings does actually sound dystopian. I hear a new YA novel in the works.

A Reflection.

Well, they claimed it was a reflection, but I'm not entirely convinced. No puddle in the world is that clear!

"Three Legged Human."

Does having three legs make riding a bike easier or way, way harder?

"This was trippy to drive behind."

Trippy? That's not how you spell 'constantly nerve-wracking and unsettling, not even close.

"This unopened flower and twigs in my garden look like a green beetle."

The slight graininess of the photo really helps add to the big illusion, which only makes it scarier!

"Rainbow in front of my house looks like another planet."

Don't discount that possibility too quickly, maybe we'll all be getting a message soon saying the Earth station is preparing to dock.
