18 Vintage Christmas Decorations That Are Popular Again

I don't know about you, but I like all sorts of Christmas decorations. However, what I especially love is all the retro stuff. You know the kinds of things you might have seen at your grandparents' house growing up.

We're talking about bubble lights, tinsel, and all kinds of fun Christmas tchotchkes. If you dig that stuff, I've got great news for you. All of it is making a huge comeback. Oh, yeah!

1. Shiny Brite Ornaments

I recently told you about your grandma's favorite ornament surfacing again, and there's no huge surprise here. These vintage-style bulbs are shiny and colorful, so what's not love? I have at least a few of these in my arsenal.

2. Tinsel

I don't know about you, but I love tinsel, and I still use it to this day. There is something so nostalgic about it, and it reminds me of my childhood Christmas trees. So the holiday wouldn't be the same without it.

3. Vintage Garland

Speaking of the fireplace, you must decorate it for the holidays. So what a better way than to add some vintage style garland to make it feel a lot more welcoming and warm, huh? I definitely like that idea.

4. Vintage Santa

If you didn't have one of these vintage Santas in your home where you grew up, would it even be Christmas? I don't know, you tell me, ha, ha! So I'm not surprised this festive guy is making a comeback.

5. Cozy Fur Throw Blanket

There isn't anything better in the winter than sitting by the fireplace covered under a cozy fur blanket. Add a cup of hot cocoa, and I won't be leaving anytime soon, ha, ha! This is my favorite scene.

6. Pixie Elf

Now that the Elf on the Shelf idea is so popular, people are venturing to look for these vintage elf versions. I have to say they're even cuter than the new reincarnation of the elf. Do you agree?

7. Snow Globes

I don't know if I even told you, but I've always been obsessed with snow globes. I think they're so magical and transport you to a place of wonder. Oddly enough, I don't have a Christmas-themed one. Time to change that!

8. Retro Reindeer

Aww, there is something so sweet about a retro reindeer, huh? Whenever I see one, it makes me think of Christmas immediately. Again, I can't believe that I don't have one of these cuties in my collection. I have to add it to my wish list.

9. Nutcrackers

Here's one Christmas tradition we didn't have in our home either. I don't ever recall seeing these festive nutcrackers. I guess this must've been more of a North American thing. Did you have them in your household? I'm curious to know.

10. Christmas Village Houses

If you're looking for a fun Christmas centerpiece, look no further than the Christmas village houses. What a sweet festive idea, huh? You can look for the vintage kinds or just add a modern twist to them.

11. Mercury Glass Ornaments

Oh my goodness, who pretty is this? I don't know about you, but I adore these mercury glass bauble ornaments. We have a few of them on my parent's Christmas tree, and they're the most treasured items on there.

12. Kissing Balls

Here's the original idea of a mistletoe. These "kissing balls" were the perfect excuse to get a smooch during the holidays. I have to say I'm totally digging this fun and festive door-hanging decoration. How about you?

13. Sweater Wreath

Speaking of door decor, what do you think of this sweater wreath idea here? I have to admit I absolutely love it. I would much rather put up something as unique as this than just a typical wreath.

14. Hanukkah Dreidel

Here's another item I've never heard of, and that would be the Hanukkah dreidel. I suppose it's because I don't celebrate this holiday, but if you do, how about getting an accent pillow as cute as this one, huh?

15. Retro Holiday Plates

I might've not told you, but I used to collect decorative plates. They were not holiday-inspired, but I can definitely understand the appeal of something like this. You can hang these up in your kitchen to welcome all the festive cooking.

16. Starburst Clip-Ons

Let me ask you: have you ever seen such a thing? I haven't either. We never had one of these items on our Christmas tree, but I do like what I'm looking at here. What a festive idea, no?

17. Ceramic Christmas Tree

And, on the same token, your home wouldn't be the same without a ceramic Christmas tree standing right next to that vintage Santa, huh? I think so too. Now, you need to get your hands on one of these.

18. Bubble Lights

Okay, I must admit, here's something I've never seen before. Perhaps it's where I grew up, but we never had these bubble Christmas lights. So I'm learning something new today, ha, ha! How interesting do these look, huh?

I love all these nostalgic items.
