It shouldn't be a shock that someone like Ellen has a different interaction with the police than a normal person. If you get pulled over, it isn't likely that a selfie is going to get you out of a ticket.
But that's exactly what got Ellen DeGeneres told Jimmy Kimmel earlier in the week during an appearance promoting her new Netflix special.
According to the interview, Ellen talks a bit about how her TV persona has allowed her to avoid some negative run-ins with the cops. As she tells Kimmel, both officers were shocked by who they had pulled over and the second went ahead and asked for the selfie.
Why? Because his wife loved Ellen!
Imagine if you went ahead and offered the police a selfie to get out of a traffic stop. It wouldn't go as well probably.
Funny enough, Ellen isn't the one to use her name to get out of a ticket.
