Octomom's Babies Aren't So Little Anymore

Who remembers when Octomom was all over the news? In 2009, Natalie Suleman gave birth to octuplets, which is extremely rare in the United States. After the birth of her babies, there was a lot of controversy surrounding Natalie and her 14 children. People questioned the doctor who transferred twelve embryos into her uterus and and wondered how she would provide for her family. Eight years have passed since those days, and the famous octuplets are now eight years old and doing so well! See how much they've grown below!

In 2009, Natalie Suleman gave birth to octuplets, which made the news because there was only one other case of that happening in the United States where every baby was born alive.

Natalie's doctor, Dr. Kamrava, had transferred twelve embryos into her uterus, which was one of the reasons he later lost his medical license. Apparently, just two or three embryos should have been transferred.

At the time of the birth, Natalie, who is divorced, had her six other children living with her.

She ended up naming her octuplets Noah, Maliyah, Isaiah, Nariyah, Jonah, Makai, Josiah, and Jeremiah.

Natalie was not quiet about the struggle involved in raising 14 children but was also very determined to make it work. She had plans to return to school and be able to financially support her family without the help of public assistance.

"I know I'll be able to afford them when I'm done with my schooling. If I were just sitting down, watching TV and not being as determined as I am to succeed and provide a better future for my children, I believe that would be considered to a certainly degree selfish," she explained.

Natalie made several public appearances as a way of financial gain, including striking a deal to have her own reality TV show where her children would earn $250 a day. Eventually, she was featured in a Fox special, but a series was never created.
