Here's A Complete Timeline Of Katy Perry And Orlando Bloom's Relationship

If you haven't heard, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are finally tying the knot. That's right, Katy Perry is going to marry Legolas. I think every girl on the planet would be lying if they said they weren't just a little bit jealous. It's Orlando Bloom for crying out loud.

It feels like they've been together for an eternity already, but it's actually only been three years since they met. Nonetheless, there's no time like the present, so they're going for it!

Let's take a stroll down memory lane, and see how this all came to be.

Once upon a time, at the 2016 Golden Globes after-party, Katy and Orlando spotted each other in a crowded room.

It probably didn't happen exactly like that. But for the sake of this story, let's just say it did.

The two were spotted getting up close and personal, and whispering in each other's ears all night.

Two weeks later, the two are seen in the same photo together on Instagram.

James Lecesne, star of The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey, posted this photo of them with friends.

By February 2016, it was abundantly clear that the pair were smitten with each other, after they shared a smooch at an Adele concert.

This is when the story really starts to pick up.

Two weeks after that, they went on a romantic trip to Hawaii.

First of all, can you imagine meeting someone, and then going on a spicy, romantic getaway with them one month later?

Apparently the pair were completely unafraid to be seen as a couple, because they were flaunting PDA like it was their job.

"They looked very loved up and really into each other," a source told ET, adding "They were comfortable letting everyone see them as a couple — lots of PDA and hand-holding."

Then, to make things weirder, the two wore matching Tamagotchis to the Met Gala.

If you don't wear matching Tamagotchis to the Met Gala, are you even a couple?

I'd really love to know the story behind the Tamagotchis.

I know the Met Gala theme that year was "Manus X Machina" and celebs were suppose to channel all things new-age technology. But I would love to know what the deciding moment was when they settled on accessorizing with Tamagotchis.

Anyways, later that month, photos of Orlando and Selena Gomez kissing surfaced, and we were all more upset about it than Katy was.

The photos themselves are really unclear, and could very possibly not be either Orlando or Selena.

But there were a few eye-witnesses that confirmed they were along together in a booth, and left together in the same car, so who knows.

Katy responded to the rumours with this tweet, brushing the whole thing off.

And Selena retweeted Katy's response to the allegations.

So I guess there was no bad blood between these two. Which is great. But I'd really love to know how Katy managed to keep her cool throughout that entire situation.

By mid-summer 2016, Katy and Orlando seemed to be right back on track.

They really didn't miss a beat after the whole Selena-kissing scandal.

While Katy was performing at the Democratic National Convention, Orlando was seen in the audience filming her, and taking photos.

Adorable!

For reasons unknown, while the pair were on a paddle-boarding date, Orlando decided to get completely naked.

This really isn't important to the story, but I just had to include it because, well, it's Orlando Bloom naked. You're welcome.

It took an entire year for either of them to step up and explain why the hell that happened.

"He wanted to show off for the people on the shore. He thought it was funny!...Oh, oh, it was SO funny because I was explaining Twitter and social media to him for weeks because he had taken a break, and then all of a sudden, he was, like, trending no. 1 on Twitter!" Katy said.

I still don't get it. But okay.

In December 2016, the pair visited a children's hospital in LA, dressed up as Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.

Okay, this is the real definition of "couple goals".

But by February of 2017, shortly after Orlando's 40th birthday, the two announced their split.

One minute they were Mr. and Mrs. Claus, the next, they're "taking respectful, loving space" according to their publicists.

Katy quickly shut down rumours that she and Orlando were suddenly enemies, post-breakup, with one tweet.

She makes a pretty good point. But mainly I just wanted them to get back together, so lets just skip ahead to when that happens.

In June of 2017, Katy ranks her lovers from worst to best, putting Orlando in second place, behind John Mayer.

"They’re all amazing lovers and I would have sex with all of them after I get out of this place."

This is some seriously hot tea, and I'm living for it. Wow.

A few months later, Katy and Orlando are spotted at an Ed Sheeran concert together.

Orlando probably heard the news that he was Katy's second best lover, and wanted to redeem himself.

Sources confirmed that Katy was seen sitting on his lap, and that the two shared numerous kisses throughout the night.

So basically, they were back together, and that's that.

How can you not fall in love, listening to the smooth, romantic sounds of Ed Sheeran, amirite?

In January 2018, Katy and Orlando were seen on another vacation together.

This time, in the Maldives.

Orlando decided to remain fully clothed for these photos. How disappointing.

In March, Orlando posted this thirst trap on Instagram.

I'm assuming it was for Katy's benefit. But hey, I certainly didn't mind. The more Orlando Bloom thirst traps, the better.

By May, Katy had officially confirmed what we already knew, that she and Orlando were back together.

Thank you for stating the obvious, Katy.

Typically people don't make-out at concerts, and take trips with people they're not dating.

Next, the pair were seen together on the red carpet at the Global Ocean Gala.

At the gala, Orlando received an award for being a "Good Samaritan". How lovely.

On Valentine's Day 2019, Orlando finally popped the question.

As cute as they are, and as happy as I am for them, proposing on Valentine's Day is kind of a major cliché. But whatever.

Katy posted this photo shortly after, showing off her beautiful, and very unique engagement ring.

And the two lived happily ever after.

I'd love to see these two go the distance. So, hopefully everything pans out according to plan. I can't wait to see all of the wedding and potential baby photos to come.

Knock on wood!
