Shakira appears to make fun of Gerard's new relationship with 23-year-old model Clara Chia Marti several times in the song.

Although many believe Gerard may have already expressed his opinions on the song by tweeting clown and circus-related emojis shortly after the lyrics became viral online, he has yet to make an official statement.

However, two weeks later Gerard decided to take things up a notch by making his love with the 23-year-old Instagram official. It's funny how the post is becoming his most liked post with the most engagement as it has over 3.5 million likes and counting.

Shakira's followers have been overwhelmingly supportive of her since the post went up, and many of them believe that the Instagram debut may be yet another subliminal answer to her lyrics. Even though Shakira hasn't responded to the post, it's clear that her fans aren't letting it slide from the comments on the post.
